Masterclass Application & Biography

The Masterclass will take place on the 3rd and 4th of April 2025 in Trani (Italy, Puglia). The program for the lessons of the masterclass is free.

In this Masterclass, called “Il Solista e l’Orchestra”, every student has the possibility to play a concert as soloist with orchestra. The students can choose among various concerti with a Mozart Organic (strings, 2 oboes and 2 horns)

The concert with orchestra for this masterclass will be held in May 2026.

Requirements:
The Masterclass is open to pianists of any age and nationality.

Inscription fee: 60 euro

Masterclass fee: 200 euro

(optional) Performance with orchestra fee: 400 euro

OTHER INFORMATION:

The deadline for sending an application to the Masterclass is the 15th of Febbraio 2025.

STAYING AND EATING in TRANI:
The organization of the Masterclass will give you the possibility to have full meals with very cheap costs.

– Airport in Bari (40 km far from Trani) and transfer to Trani with train

– Rome airport and train from Roma Termini station to Trani

Gino Ceci

Luigi Ceci nasce a Bari dove si forma alla scuola pianistica di M.Marvulli e successivamente, studia con R.Caporali e N. Magaloff, col quale si perfeziona al Conservatorio di Ginevra. Vincitore del primo premio allo “Chopin” di Padova, si afferma in prestigiosi concorsi internazionali come il Casagrande di Terni, Ginevra, Zwichau (Concorso Schumann), Seregno (premio Pozzoli) e Busoni. 

Inizia così una carriera internazionale esibendosi in Spagna, Polonia, Germania, Svizzera, Australia (suonando anche all’Opera House di Sidney), Romania, Russia (Sala Shostakovich di S. Pietroburgo), Olanda e Belgio ( al Palais des Beaux Arts di Bruxelles, nella Koningin Elisabethzaal di Anversa e Gand). 

Collabora con direttori di prestigio quali: Bruno Aprea, Gabriele Ferro, K. Morsky, Michele Marvulli, Ottavio Ziino, Samuel Friedman, Walter Proost, Donato Renzetti, Vladimir Delman, Anton Nanut e A. Dmitriev, suonando con orchestre quali Royal philharmonic di Londra, Filarmonica di San Pietroburgo, Orchestra der Lage Landen in Belgio, Orchestra di Dresda e Timisoara. 

E’ molto presente nella musica da camera già a 15 anni, quando col violoncellista Vito Paternoster inizia una lunga e intensa collaborazione. Suona anche con M. Sirbu e col quartetto Prometeo. Sino al 2021 è stato docente al conservatorio “N. Piccinni” di Bari, dove ha formato diversi allievi, oggi musicisti affermati.
